HENRY PARKES CONVENTION
USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Cars are convenient for everyday use, but they are not the ideal mode of transport if you want to save our environment. A much better choice is public transport.
“But how can buses save the world?” you ask. Well, here’s the answer.
Buses and trains can carry a mass of people to the same destination. It uses less petrol to get the same number of people from A to B. Take a school bus, for example. A lot less petrol is wasted if everyone goes on 1 vehicle, rather than 70 separate vehicles. And, best of all, it costs practically nothing to help the environment every day!
So there are the reasons to hop on board. Why not? It is better to act now, when the danger isn’t very significant, rather than later, when the situation is urgent. Prevention is better than cure.
